concept maps

i read in (Integrating Educational Technology Into Teaching, Roblyer) that concept maps can be really good for teaching reading and critical thinking skills. Students can map out a portion of a story or paragraph in order to really understand it. So maybe the Ideas software is more worthwhile than I thought.
